We spoke to Lou Obadal. He was diagnosed with Lupus and then discovered that the support was not there in North America. Rather than wallowing in self-pity, he set up a support group to help men with the condition. In his age group only 10% of diagnosed sufferers are men. He also told us about the stigma attached to Lupus. It’s an inspirational story but it’s also sad that it takes a man who struggles with his health to act on behalf of others because there is a lack of support for sufferers.
